The Nursing Home Law Center LLC is proud to endow two annual scholarships to help students pay for the costs of university tuition. Two scholarships will be awarded. Bay Area Minority Law Student Scholarship
We offer these scholarships because we recognize and are firmly committed to the importance of diversity within legal practice, particularly in the San Francisco Bay Area. Special considerations include encouraging the participation of women lawyers in the legal profession, recognizing the contributions of women lawyers to society in general, highlighting academic excellence, addressing need, and advancing the interest of women law students in intellectual property.
Howard T. Markey Memorial Scholarship
This memorial scholarship award is geared toward students pursuing a J.D. with an interest in international law or federal law. In particular, a demonstrable interest in procedure, substance, or scope of the United States Four of Appeals for the Federal Circuit is ideal.
William S. Bullinger Scholarship
In memory of William S. Bullinger, a respected practitioner who tirelessly advanced the Association’s encouragement of professionalism, civility in practice, and dialogue between the Bench and Bar. The award is based primarily on economic need, although other criteria including academic promise and an interest in the subject matter of the Federal Circuit’s legal community are considered.
