One of the objectives in AccessLex Institute’s 2025 Strategic Plan is to see the diversity of law schools reflect the diversity of society. The success of legal education diversity pipeline programs is integral to this happening. Thus, AccessLex is committed to researching, funding and supporting pipeline programs. As part of this effort, the Diversity Pipeline Program Directory launched in September 2018 to create transparency for pre-law advisors, law school administrators and prospective law students, about the varied programs that exist to support underrepresented students before, during and after law school.
Through our research, AccessLex Institute has identified impactful practices for increasing diversity in law schools. We define diversity pipeline programs specifically as programs that provide college students and/or college graduates from historically underrepresented groups with information and resources that are premised on aiding their successful matriculation into law school and eventual entry into the legal profession. The best programs are collaborative and provide meaningful and holistic content, experiences and support, and are designed to yield measurable outcomes and scalable best practices.
The Diversity Pipeline Program Directory will allow students, administrators and pre-law advisors to quickly access comprehensive pre-law pipeline programs. The directory will provide users with a searchable platform to locate programs that best suit their needs. If you would like to recommend a program to be included in the directory, please contact us at email@example.com .
