Eversheds Sutherland Scholars
Established in 2005, Eversheds Sutherland Scholars is an intensive three-week summer program for recent college graduates headed to law school or rising college seniors from a variety of personal and cultural backgrounds. The program is offered at no cost and is designed to introduce students to the rigors of law school. Scholars are exposed to topics such as how to navigate the law school admission process, what to expect during the first year of law school, and getting a job upon graduation. The program engages a law instructor to teach introductory courses in Contracts and Torts (with exams) and provides the scholars with a chance to hear from and visit with a variety of legal professionals. The program also includes a modest stipend.
