Training and support to advocate for higher education policy improvements.
AccessLex Institute® is launching a new policy engagement initiative to empower law school financial aid administrators to advocate for higher education policy improvements. Selected participants will receive training and support to effectively engage with congressional offices, culminating in a “Day on the Hill” where administrators will come to Washington, D.C. to share their expertise and advocate for change.
Program Requirements
- Training: Two one-hour webinars in May and June covering:
- Advocacy fundamentals
- Preparation for a “Day on the Hill”
- Hill Fly-In: Participate in a Capitol Hill visit in June to meet with congressional offices and discuss higher education concerns.
- Debrief: One final one-hour webinar in June to share takeaways and lessons learned.
- Cost: Hotel rooms will be covered, and a stipend will be provided to go towards flights, transportation, and meals.
- Dates: Webinars and “Day on the Hill” visit will take place between May and June. Specific dates will be announced after participants are selected.
The application is closed for 2026. The application for the next Advocacy Bootcamp will open in early 2027.
