Joel Chanvisanuruk directs academic and bar success initiatives, including grantmaking and research related to bar success and other legal education matters. His work includes cultivating programming and research partnerships with legal educators and researchers. Joel is also the Managing Editor of Raising the Bar, AccessLex Institute’s quarterly publication dedicated to the exchange of evidence-based ideas about the bar exam, and the author of LexPostBacc by AccessLex® curriculum.
Prior to joining AccessLex, Joel spent over a decade in law school student support roles spanning student affairs, career planning, and ultimately as the Senior Assistant Dean of Academic and Bar Success at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he engaged in AccessLex-funded research of indicators of bar success.
Joel was a first-generation college student, a Peace Corps Volunteer, and a Presidential Management Fellow.
