Building a Better Bar: The Twelve Building Blocks of Minimum Competence

Academic and Bar Success

Research from IAALS, the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System at the University of Denver, in partnership with Professor Deborah Jones Merritt at The Ohio State University (OSU) Moritz College of Law, was released last fall and brings into focus what minimum competency ultimately entails.

The project, Building a Better Bar: Capturing Minimum Competence, was funded by a $125,000 grant from AccessLex Institute and support from OSU.
