Active member of an Animal Legal Defense Fund Student Chapters

Willing to serve as a student chapter advisor for up to 2 years after graduation

Completion of a minimum of one year of law school.

Dedicated involvement in Sonoma County community affairs.

On track to receive a Juris Doctor degree no later than May 2028.

Enrolled in an ABA- or AALS-accredited law school in the U.S. at least half-time as determined by the law school

Candidate for a J.D. degree. Students seeking advanced law degrees are not eligible for this program

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Must be in good standing at applicant's law school

Enrolled in a post-secondary institution (including community college, undergrad, or graduate school)

Demonstrate financial need

Hold U.S. Veteran status having served honorably or be an unmarried Child (under 24 years of age) of a U.S. Veteran

Accepted, or enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited college or university in the U.S.
