Guide to Using the AccessLex Institute Name and Logo

To ensure the integrity of our brand, AccessLex Institute provides the following standards for use of our name and logo by grantees and other partners.

AccessLex Institute Brand

AccessLex Institute requires that grantees and partners obtain written permission for use of the Company’s name, insignias, symbols, trademarks, trade names, or logos. All materials, including news releases, brochures, fliers, reports, publications, promotional materials, or other forms of publicity that mention AccessLex Institute require approval. Grantees should send requests for review and approval to [email protected] and copy [email protected]. Other partners should send requests for review and approval to [email protected] and copy [email protected]. Requests to review materials should be received at least ten business days prior to anticipated release. Materials should not be released to the public until AccessLex Institute has provided written approval.

AccessLex Institute Logo

Grantees and other partners may request copies of the Company’s logo for use in publications or on the web. Grantees should send requests for copies of the logo to [email protected]. Other research partners may also send requests for copies of the Company’s logo to [email protected]. Please include in your request a detailed description of how, and for how long, you intend to use the logo.

AccessLex Institute Name

Use “AccessLex Institute” when describing the Company. Always spell out "AccessLex Institute" in documents; do not use abbreviated names. Do not use the word “the” before "AccessLex Institute."

Describing AccessLex Institute

Please use the following language verbatim.

"Since 1983, AccessLex Institute has continually evolved to meet the ever-changing challenges and needs of the law students and institutions that they serve. They are steadfast in their commitment to inform students of the economic realities of law school without limiting their aspirations. They conduct and commission research to illuminate the latest data and evidence on the most critical issues facing legal education today. And they are resolute in their appeal to policymakers and influencers to take actions that make legal education work better for both students and society at large. As a nonprofit organization underpinned by nearly 200 American Bar Association-approved nonprofit and state-affiliated law schools, they are intently dedicated to the betterment of legal education."

AccessLex Institute believes communication is an important part of our grantmaking and research efforts and wants to coordinate with grantees and research partners to amplify the impact of the partnership. Please inform us when you reach project milestones and achieve other significant project successes so that AccessLex Institute can highlight these accomplishments on our website, in our communications and in the press. Helix Bar Review by AccessLex® Name

Helix Bar Review by AccessLex® is a supporting organization of AccessLex Institute. Use “Helix Bar Review by AccessLex” when describing the Program for the first time; “Helix Bar Review” is sufficient in successive mentions. “Helix” can be used on its own when familiarity with the brand is understood to be significant.
