LexPostBacc is a 10-month law school preparation curriculum offered via distance learning by AccessLex Institute®. The program will span July 2025 through May 2026. There are no costs associated with the program.

Overview
As a LexPostBacc Scholar, you will complete lessons in first-year law school subjects: Contracts, Criminal Law and Torts. You will also receive important law school skills training, such as case briefing, course outlining, legal writing, and financial budgeting. At various points during the program, you will be required to demonstrate proficiency on specified topics and skills.
Scholars who successfully complete the LexPostBacc curriculum will receive:
- Fall 2026 admission to the referring law school
- A scholarship award of at least 20% tuition from the referring law school
- A $7,500 stipend from AccessLex Institute®,(paid in installments: $500 upon successful completion of the program followed by a total of $7,000 over the course of law school study)
- A Helix Bar Review by AccessLex® course, upon graduation

The deferred admission and scholarship offers made through LexPostBacc are conditioned on the Scholar successfully completing the program curriculum. From July 2025 through May 2026, LexPostBacc Scholars will be exposed to a rigorous law school prep curriculum that will focus on building analytical and critical thinking skills as the foundations of competent legal analysis and writing. Scholars will also receive financial education. The program is offered at no cost to Scholars.

Program Reservation Process
Program Reservation Process
Applicants interested in accepting the deferred admission and scholarship offers and becoming a LexPostBacc Scholar must take the following steps:
Complete the LexPostBacc Program Application by the deadline stipulated in your admission offer. If you have been referred by a law school to LexPostBacc, an email with a personalized link to the application has been emailed to you. If you cannot locate the email, please send a request to [email protected] for it to be re-sent.
Sign the LexPostBacc Participation Agreement by the stipulated deadline. Your Participation Agreement will be sent to you via email after your LexPostBacc Program Application is reviewed. You can view a sample of the agreement here. The agreement will require you to certify, upon acceptance of the referring school offer, that you are no longer pursuing admission to other law schools and will not submit any new law school applications for at least 18 months.
