Congratulations on your selection to the 2026-27 LexPreLaw Cohort
Please read on for important information regarding your participation in the program.
Kaplan Online LSAT Prep Course
As a member of the LSAT Prep Group, you will also receive a full-length online Kaplan LSAT course. There will be multiple course scheduling options, which you may access in the same email you accessed this onboarding package.
The LSAT course will provide live instruction taught each week for seven weeks total. You will use a computer to access live instruction, and you will have access to supplemental assignments and modules in the Kaplan system for one full year.
Your Kaplan course includes coordinated access to the Law School Admission Council’s (LSAC) LawHub. If you already have an LSAC account, please use the same email when selecting your Kaplan course. Otherwise, you may experience some delays with your LawHub access as staff must manually link your new Kaplan account to your existing LSAC account.
LexPreLaw is designed for you to take the August and/or September LSAT. Our research demonstrates that sitting early for the LSAT is hugely important for increasing your chances of law school admission. The earlier you take the LSAT, the better your chances of remaining on track to apply early. An early LSAT also offers the luxury of time to retake the exam if necessary. While the option does exist, we do not recommend delaying the start of your LSAT prep course unless it is necessary.
Financial Assistance
All LexPreLaw participants are eligible to receive financial assistance during the program. Financial assistance is tied to your completion of monthly reporting, which provides us with information about your law school admission journey.
You will receive a $25 Amazon gift card for every monthly reporting form completed, for a total possible incentive of $300 dollars. To receive this amount, you must submit your monthly reporting form within the stated deadline each month. Your survey will be delivered to you via email on the first of each month, starting in October 2026 and continuing until September 2027.
Amazon gift cards will be distributed as follows:
- Payout #1: December 2026 (for surveys completed in October-November-December)
- Payout #2: March 2027 (for surveys completed in January-February-March)
- Payout #3: June 2027 (for surveys completed in April-May-June)
- Payout #4: September 2027 (for surveys completed in July-August-September)
For example, if you complete the surveys in a timely manner in October, November, and December, you will receive a $75 Amazon gift card in December.
There is an additional financial assistance opportunity that you may be eligible for starting in Fall 2026. Selection for this opportunity is random; there is no way to have greater odds for selection than you do right now. We will notify you via email if you are randomly selected for this additional financial assistance opportunity.
Community and Support
We encourage you to join us on LinkedIn in a private community to connect with program staff and other current/past LexPreLaw participants. This LinkedIn page will give you guided access to informational resources, webinars, and online events to support your law school decision. We communicate with group members once a week. All content is curated for current LexPreLaw participants. Your membership in this group is a great way to identify your current and future colleagues.
Your program coordinator is Jordan Spencer. Jordan is available to meet with you at any point during the program for Office Hours. Office Hours are 30-minute sessions held during regular work hours (9am – 5pm ET). You can discuss questions or concerns or just chat about next steps. Sessions must be scheduled individually with Jordan in advance. You can reach him at [email protected].
You’ll hear from Jordan frequently during the program, including for reminders about Office Hours. Office Hours differ from admission counseling services – Jordan will not provide extensive or individualized review of application materials. While Admission Counseling Group members are welcome to schedule with Jordan, Office Hours are open to all LexPreLaw participants and Admission Counseling Group members are encouraged to prioritize interactions with their admission counselors.
