AccessLex-AASE Renew ASP Faculty Scholarship Grant

Grants

The Association of Academic Support Educators (AASE) and AccessLex Institute’s Center for Legal Education Excellence® are pleased to announce the renewal of the AccessLex-AASE ASP Faculty Scholarship Grant.

Launched in 2021, the AccessLex-AASE ASP Faculty Scholarship Grant provides financial support and research mentors to academic support educators as they pursue professional scholarship. The five 2021 Scholars will present on their writings at the Ninth Annual AASE Conference to be held May 24-26 at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, TX. The selection of the 2022 Scholars will be announced at the AASE Annual Conference.

Selection of 2022 Scholars:

Scholarship applications will be distributed to AASE members through the email currently provided to the organization – email updates can be made through the AASE website. Scholar-Applicants will describe their proposed writing topic and explain how the writing relates to their career advancement (directed toward getting tenure, seeking tenure track positions, contributing to ASP scholarship, or other considerations). Scholar-Applicants need not have a track record of publications; this grant may be used to jump-start an Applicant’s scholarship.

Fellowship Program for Scholars:

Upon selection, all Scholars will participate in an approximately one-year long fellowship program. The fellowship will include two mentors for each Scholar in order to assist them in completing a draft of an article. Scholars will be publicly announced at the annual AASE meeting in May 2022. The culmination of the fellowship will be a “Works-In-Progress” series in May 2023.
