The Harold Sullivan Scholarship

The Illinois Judges Foundation awards the Harold Sullivan Scholarship to one or more students attending an Illinois law school.

Eligibility Requirements:

Does not have a close relative who is a judge.

Currently enrolled in an Illinois law school, with at least one academic year of law school remaining (incoming 1Ls not eligible).

Demonstrates community service or pro bono experience.

Demonstrates financial need.

Award Description:

The Illinois Judges Foundation will award at least one $5000.00 scholarship, and may award runner-up scholarship(s) for $2,500.00. The scholarship monies are paid by the IJF to the winning students’ law school(s) to cover future tuition and related costs. Some law schools may award matching funds, thus increasing the value of a scholarship award. Please check with your law school to determine the amount of matching funds, if any, it will provide.
