The Jonathan Lax Scholarship Fund for Gay Men was established for the purpose of encouraging gay men to obtain additional education; to aspire to positions in which they contribute to society; to be out about their sexual orientation; and to act as role models for other gay men with similar potential.

Matriculated in a degree program at an accredited college, graduate, or professional school anywhere, or schools within the Philadelphia region
Gay man
Successful applicants graduated from a high school in the Philadelphia region (Bucks, Camden, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties) and are enrolled at an accredited college, graduate, or professional school in the United States; OR
graduated from a high school outside the region and are enrolled at an accredited college, graduate, or professional school in the Philadelphia region.
Must live in, or attend school in or around, the Philadelphia region
