Sonoma County Women in Law 

A deserving law student at a northern California law school, with an interest in promoting women’s access to, and involvement in, the legal system, will receive this Sonoma County Women in Law (“SCWiL”) Honorable Gayle Guynup Scholarship to defray the cost of their legal education. Open to applicants regardless of gender, and persons of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Requirements:

Successfully completed at least one year of law school, with at least one semester of law school remaining.

Demonstrated record of academic achievement.

Must demonstrate ties to Sonoma County.

Demonstrated commitment to increasing women’s access to legal services and/or involvement in the practice of law.

Location Description:

Applicants must have ties to Sonoma County, and preferably plan to practice in the area after graduating and passing the bar.
