NAWL Selma Moidel Smith Writing Competition
The National Association of Women Lawyers ("NAWL")
The annual Selma Moidel Smith Law Student Writing Competition encourages and rewards original law student writing on issues concerning women and the law.
Some application deadlines have not yet been announced. In those cases, the dates posted are based on the scholarship provider’s most recent information. Please confirm each deadline via the provider’s website.
Must be enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school in the U.S.
Must be in good standing.
The author of the winning essay will receive a cash prize of $1,000. NAWL will also publish the winning essay in the Spring/Summer issue of the Women Lawyers Journal. Additionally, the winning law student will be awarded a complimentary ticket to NAWL’s Annual Meeting, along with a fully covered hotel stay to attend the event.
