U.S. Citizen and Green Card holders of Italian descent

Accepted to or enrolled full-time in an accredited law school or masters/doctoral program in public policy or public administration for the fall following the application period

You use listening and spoken language as the primary mode of communication

You have a pre-lingual hearing loss (diagnosed prior to the fourth birthday)

Hearing loss is bilateral, moderately severe to profound. Unaided Pure-Tone Average (PTA) of 60dB or greater in the better hearing ear in the speech frequencies of 500, 1000 and 2000 Hz. (Cochlear implants meet this eligibility requirement)

Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university in the U.S.

Student must be enrolled full-time unless their disability prevents them from attending full-time

Must be pursuing or planning to pursue a full-time, post-secondary course of study in a degree program at a U.S. institution in the fall of the year of application (one scholarship may be given to a person employed full-time while attending school part-time)

Must be legally blind in both eyes. Must be residing in the U.S., the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico

Must participate in the entire NFB National Convention and in all of its scheduled scholarship program activities (finalists will receive assistance to attend the national convention).
