Demonstrated some commitment or contribution to the LGBT community or LGBT legal issues

Financial need

Enrolled in or have been accepted to an accredited college or university

Currently, or have been, a caregiver of someone living with a serious brain injury

GPA 2.8

Be either a current law student at an accredited law school or at an accredited undergraduate university planning to attend law school for the following academic year

Minimum 2.8 GPA

Must have either personally worked to protect children's right or stop abuse either as a volunteer, as a counselor, in your professional work or by legal means OR you are an abuse survivor who wishes to use your own experiences to help others

Current high school senior, college student or graduate student, enrolled in a two to five year post-secondary institution for the upcoming semester

Legal resident of the U.S. residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia

Minimum 3.0 GPA 
 

Employees of BK Law Group, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), and persons living in the same households of such individuals (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the competition.

Current Law Student at an ABA-accredited U.S. law school

Demonstrate leadership or commitment to the advancement of the Iranian American community

Enrollment or acceptance to an accredited college, university or graduate school in the U.S.

Undergraduate or graduate student

Interest and/or personal experience in disability advocacy

Have cerebral palsy

Enrolled in or accepted for enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school

Must have a connection to Northern California (via employment, law school, or substantial prior residency)

Full-time, part-time, evening or LLM student

Pursuing a summer internship, externship or clerkship in public interest, includes a position at a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, government agency, or a judicial clerkship (including those working remotely for their public interest position) 

Accepted at, or enrolled in, a full-time degree program at a U.S. or Canadian school that MPOWER supports (see scholarship provider website for listing of schools)

Be an international student allowed to legally study in the U.S. or Canada, including DACA, visa that allows studying in the U.S., and U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder)
