Pursing studies at the graduate level (Master's or Doctorate degree) in the field of law, history, political science, international relations, journalism, government, economics, business administration, medicine, public service or a similar field

Students who are declared majors in Hellenic Studies may also apply, regardless of their heritage

Currently enrolled or accepted to an accredited college or university in the U.S. (graduate student applicants may be full or part time)

Current member of NAACP; African American and a U.S. resident

Minimum 3.0 (B) average on a 4.0 system

Demonstrate financial need based on federal poverty guidelines 

Plan to attend graduate school to obtain a law degree at an accredited institution

Pursuing a full-time graduate program of 2 years or longer at a university in the U.S.

Pursuing one of the following degrees: MD, MBA, JD, MPP/MPA, MPH, MS/MA in the social science or STEM

First-year graduate student for the academic year following the scholarship deadline

Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.5

Enrolled in or accepted at an accredited college, university, or graduate school in the United States

You have personally experienced, or are in close proximity to someone who has experienced, a life-altering catastrophic injury.

Be in good academic standing

Member of an underrepresented racial and/or ethnic minority

Minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Strong academic qualifications and/or career goals focused on making a significant positive difference in the long-term protection of wilderness in the U.S.

Graduate students in natural resources management, law or policy programs are strongly encouraged to apply

Any Jewish high school senior or those enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or technical school

Demonstrate financial need (graduate students are encouraged to apply and their financial need is assessed independently of their parents)

Demonstrate academic merit

Bona-fide residents of Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington and Westmoreland counties for 2+ years plus additional geographic requirements

Continuing college student or high school senior planning to attend a Department of Education (DOE) non-profit college, 4-year college, or graduate level students

Identifies as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, or straight ally

Applicant or parent lives in the greater Long Beach Area

Involved in support, education, and/or advocacy in their community or school 2.5 overall GPA
