NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. PARTICIPATION IN THE 2027 ACCESSLEX CALIFORNIA BAR EXAM APPLICATION FEE SWEEPSTAKES (“ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES”) IS SUBJECT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES. Void where prohibited by law. Subject to all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. There are two (2) Sweepstakes entry periods and two (2) prize drawings (each a “Drawing”), the September Drawing and the February Drawing; entries in the first entry period do not roll over to the second entry period. Opportunity to obtain entries for the first Drawing begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) on 7/31/2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on 9/3/2026 (the “First Drawing Entry Period”); opportunity to obtain entries for the second Drawing begins at 12:00 a.m. PT on 10/1/2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on 2/1/2027 (the “Second Drawing Entry Period”) (each, individually, a “Drawing Entry Period,” together, the “Sweepstakes Entry Period”).

ACCESSLEX INSTITUTE IS THE SOLE SPONSOR OF THE ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES. NO OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO STATE BAR OF CALIFORNIA, FACEBOOK, INC., INSTAGRAM, INC., OR X Corp. (f/k/a TWITTER, INC.) (TOGETHER, “SOCIAL MEDIA ENTITIES”), ACTS AS A SPONSOR, ENDORSER, OR ADMINISTRATOR.

ODDS OF WINNING A PRIZE IN EACH DRAWING WILL DEPEND ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ENTRIES RECEIVED DURING THE DRAWING ENTRY PERIOD. TO REMAIN ELIGIBLE TO WIN AND CLAIM A PRIZE, WINNERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH ALL ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES REQUIREMENTS.

BY ENTERING THE ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES, YOU AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WHICH ARE A CONTRACT, SO READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE PARTICIPATING. WITHOUT LIMITATION, THIS CONTRACT PROVIDES FOR A CLASS ACTION AND JURY TRIAL WAIVER AND A LIMITATION OF YOUR RIGHTS AND REMEDIES.

1. SPONSOR. AccessLex Institute® (“Sponsor”), a Delaware non-profit corporation, 10 N. High Street, Suite 400, West Chester, PA 19380.

2. ELIGIBILITY. The ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES is open to legal U.S. residents currently residing in the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico who are at least 18 years old (19 years old in Alabama and Nebraska, and/or 21 years old in Mississippi) as of the date of entry, who (a) are planning to sit (and are eligible to sit) for the California Bar Exam for the first time in either February or July 2027; (b) are not admitted to practice law in California or any other jurisdiction at the time of entry and will not be admitted to practice law in California or any other jurisdiction at the time they sit for the applicable February or July 2027 California Bar Exam; and (c) are non-attorney graduates who received, or will receive before taking the applicable February or July 2027 California Bar Exam, a J.D. or LL.M. degree from one of the California law schools listed below.* Employees, Officers, and Directors of Sponsor and/or any affiliate thereof and members of their immediate families (defined for these Official Rules as spouses, parents, children, siblings, and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or individuals living in the same household (whether related or not) of any of the above are not eligible to enter or win.

*Individuals who are otherwise eligible according to these Official Rules and who are graduates with a J.D. or LL.M. degree from one of the California law schools listed below may participate in this Sweepstakes. This includes graduates who received their J.D. or LL.M. degree on or about December 2026 or May 2027:

3. HOW TO ENTER. To enter the ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES, during the Sweepstakes Period, eligible entrants (“Entrants”) may visit https://forms.accesslex.org/261885920341056 to complete and submit an entry form (“Entry”). Entrants must provide all required information, including Entrant’s first and last name, email address, phone number, and the California law school from which Entrant received or will receive a J.D. or LL.M. degree in advance of taking the February or July 2027 Bar Exam. By submitting an Entry, Entrant certifies that Entrant is not admitted to practice law in California or any other jurisdiction at the time of entry and will not become admitted to practice law in California or any other jurisdiction prior to sitting for the applicable February or July 2027 California Bar Exam. By completing and submitting an Entry by 9/3/2026, Entrant will receive one (1) entry into the September Drawing; and by completing and submitting an Entry by 2/1/2027, Entrant will receive one (1) entry into the February Drawing. Only J.D. or LL.M. graduates of California law schools are eligible to enter a Drawing

a. Limit one (1) entry per person per Drawing Entry Period.

b. Other Entry Requirements. Entries received from any person in excess of any stated limitations will be void. Any attempt by any Entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple and/or different identities, forms, registrations, email addresses, logins, or any other methods will void that Entrant’s entries, and that Entrant may be disqualified at Sponsor’s discretion. If you specify an invalid, non-working, or inactive email address when you register for a Drawing, your Entry will be disqualified, and you may be ineligible to win. You must complete all required information to be eligible to enter. Incomplete, corrupted, or untimely registrations are void and will be disqualified. Sponsor will not verify receipt of entries. Internet access, phone, and usage charges imposed by your online or phone service may apply.

4. DRAWING DATES. One hundred fifty (150) total potential winners (each, a potential “Winner”) will be randomly drawn by an independent third party over the two (2) designated drawing dates (each, a “Drawing Date”) from among all eligible entries received during the applicable portion of the Drawing Entry Period, as follows:

a. ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES September Drawing: A total of thirty-eight (38) potential Winners will be randomly drawn on or about 9/4/2026, from all eligible entries received during the First Drawing Entry Period. Non-winning Entries will not roll over to the February Drawing; Entrants must submit a new Entry during the Second Drawing Entry Period to be eligible for the February Drawing.

b. ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES February Drawing: A total of one hundred twelve (112) potential Winners will be randomly drawn on or about 2/2/2027, from all eligible Entries received during the Second Drawing Entry Period.

5. WINNER NOTIFICATION. The potential Winners will be notified by email by Sponsor within 30 days of selection.

Verification of Potential Winners: ALL POTENTIAL WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY SPONSOR, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES. AN ENTRANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE UNLESS AND UNTIL ENTRANT’S ELIGIBILITY HAS BEEN VERIFIED AND ENTRANT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE.

A POTENTIAL WINNER WHOSE ELIGIBILITY IS CONFIRMED, IS A PERSON WHOSE ENTRY IS SELECTED DURING A DRAWING, WHOSE ENTRY WAS NOT SELECTED PREVIOUSLY IN THE SAME DRAWING, AND WHO COMPLETES ALL PRIZE DRAWING REQUIREMENTS.

If a potential Winner cannot be contacted by email or telephone; if a potential Winner is unable to claim their Prize within any time period specified by Sponsor; in the event that a potential Winner is disqualified for any reason; or if the Winner fails to claim the Prize when applying for the February 2027 bar exam, Sponsor will award the applicable Prize to an alternate Winner selected in the random drawing. Sponsor may choose to award a Prize that was unclaimed for the February 2027 Bar Exam to an Entrant in the September Drawing. If Sponsor is unable to determine and verify a potential Winner after repeated alternate drawings or if it fails to receive a sufficient number of entries to correspond to the number of prize(s) available to be awarded, Sponsor reserves the right not to award any of the prize(s).

6. PRIZES: ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES CREDIT. Subject to the terms, limitations, and procedures described herein, one hundred and fifty (150) Winners will each receive one (1) ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES credit (“Credit” or “Prize”), to be applied to the California Bar Exam application and laptop fees for the February 2027 or July 2027 bar exam as applicable.

Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Prize: U.S.$1,031. Total ARV of all 150 Prizes: one hundred fifty-four thousand, six hundred and fifty U.S. Dollars (U.S.$154,650).

The Prizes will be awarded as follows:

a. September Drawing Prizes: Thirty-eight (38) ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES Credits will be awarded to be used by the Winners for application and laptop fees associated with taking the February 2027 California Bar Exam.

b. February Drawing Prizes: One hundred twelve (112) ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES Credits will be awarded to be used by the Winners for application and laptop fees associated with taking the July 2027 California Bar Exam.

To use the Prize, Winners must go to the State Bar of California’s Admissions Applicant Portal at https://admissions.calbar.ca.gov/s/login/SelfRegister to complete an application for the February 2027 or July 2027 bar exam, as applicable. ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES Credits will be automatically applied when submitting your application. Receipt of an ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES Credit will not automatically register any Winner for the February 2027 or July 2027 California Bar Exam.

c. The Credit does not cover:

  1. Late fees (Credit will expire as of November 2, 2026 for the February Bar Exam and April 1, 2027 for the July Bar Exam (“the Timely Filing Deadline”).
  2. Application and laptop fees outside the February 2027 and July 2027 California Bar Exams or any other fees.
  3. Non-registration fee benefits.

d. Each Prize may only be used one (1) time as part of the application to sit for the California Bar Exam.

e. All Prize Winners must submit all required portions of the California Bar Exam application and must otherwise be qualified to apply to sit for the California Bar Exam according to the information and instructions provided at https://www.calbar.ca.gov/admissions/examinations/california-bar-examination.

f. Credit is valid for the February 2027 or July 2027 California Bar Exam only and may not be used towards the California Attorney’s Examination, First-Year Law Students’ Examination, or any other California exam or fees.

g. Winners selected in the September Drawing to receive a Credit for use to take the February 2027 Bar Exam may not defer the date of the examination; they must use the Credit for the February 2027 examination date or forfeit the Prize.

h. Each September Drawing Credit will expire at 11:59 p.m. PT on the Timely Filing Deadline for applying for the February 2027 California Bar Exam, and each February Drawing Credit will expire at 11:59 p.m. PT on the Timely Filing Deadline for applying for the July 2027 California Bar Exam. Upon expiration of the Credit, Winner forfeits the Prize and is not entitled to any replacement or substitution for same.

i. In the event a Winner applies for the February 2027 or July 2027 bar exam and subsequently withdraws their application, the Credit will be deemed void and will not be returned, and Winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize.

j. Receipt of a Credit will have no effect on a Winner’s points scoring or their final outcome on the California Bar Exam, which is independently determined by the State Bar of California.

k. ALL EXPENSES, FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES, AND COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF EACH PRIZE THAT ARE NOT EXPRESSLY SET FORTH IN THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE THE SOLE OBLIGATION OF WINNER. Each Winner should consult appropriate tax advisers about any tax liability that may be associated with acceptance of a Credit. No assignment, transfer, or substitution of any credit is permitted by the Winner and credit may not be redeemed for cash.

l. No assignment, transfer, or substitution of any Credit by a Winner is permitted.

m. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any Prize for a different prize of equal or greater value, in its sole discretion.

7. OFFICIAL RULES AND WINNERS LIST. For a copy of the Official Rules, visit https://www.accesslex.org/tools-and-resources/accesslex-california-bar-exam-application-fee-sweepstakes. Official Rules will be available until 5/15/2027. The full list of Winners will be posted on www.accesslex.org and will be available until 12/31/2027. For a copy of the full list of Winners, send a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope to AccessLex Institute c/o Center for Education and Financial Capability, 10 N. High Street, Suite 400, West Chester, PA 19380, by 5/15/2027.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS, PUBLICITY, AND LIABILITY. By entering, Entrants agree that (a) Sponsor and its subsidiaries, and all of their officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents (the “Sweepstakes Entities”), are indemnified, released, and will be held harmless by entrants from any and all liability for any damages, injuries, or losses of any kind to person(s) arising directly or indirectly from the acceptance, possession, or use of a Credit, or entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes-related activity; and (b) participation constitutes Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES.

Winners further grant (and agree to confirm such grant in writing promptly upon request) to Sponsor and those acting under Sponsor’s authority the right to use Winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice, image, statements, and biographical information at any time or times for advertising, trade, publicity, and promotional purposes in any media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the World Wide Web, without review, notification, approval, or additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Neither Sponsor nor the Sweepstakes Entities are responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, stolen, misdirected, or illegible entries; lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, or other connections, garbled transmissions or miscommunications, telephone transmission problems; computer or software malfunctions or damage to a user’s computer equipment (software or hardware); technical failures; or other errors or malfunctions of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic, or otherwise. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of this provision.

ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW, AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be attempting to tamper with or undermine the entry process, and/or the legitimate operation of the ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES; to violate the Official Rules; or to act in a disruptive manner with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person.

If, for any reason, the ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES cannot be run as planned, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, void any suspect entries and (a) cancel or terminate the ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES (or any portion thereof); (b) modify the ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES or suspend the ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES to address the impairment and then resume the ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; and/or (c) award the Credits at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND RELEASES; PUBLICITY. BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANT AGREES THAT SWEEPSTAKES ENTITIES AND THEIR RESPECTIVE PARENT COMPANIES, AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, REPRESENTATIVES, CONSULTANTS, CONTRACTORS, LEGAL COUNSEL, ADVERTISING, PUBLIC RELATIONS, PROMOTIONAL, FULFILLMENT AND MARKETING, WEBSITE PROVIDERS, WEB MASTERS, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS, AND SOCIAL MEDIA ENTITIES (THE “RELEASED PARTIES”) WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY ENTRANTS AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES, OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH, OR PROPERTY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, MISUSE, OR USE OF THE PRIZE, ENTRY, OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES-RELATED ACTIVITY, OR ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION OR INVASION OF PRIVACY, OR MERCHANDISE DELIVERY, AND ALL EXPENSES, FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES, INTEREST, PENALTIES, AND COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF EACH PRIZE. THE RELEASED PARTIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF ANY PRIZE CANNOT BE AWARDED DUE TO CANCELLATIONS, DELAYS, OR INTERRUPTIONS DUE TO ACTS OF GOD, ACTS OF WAR, NATURAL DISASTERS, WEATHER, OR TERRORISM. BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANT AGREES THAT THE RELEASED PARTIES WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY INJURIES, DAMAGES, OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES TO PERSONS, INCLUDING DEATH, OR TO PROPERTY ARISING OUT OF ACCESS TO AND USE OF ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR THE DOWNLOADING FROM AND/OR PRINTING OF MATERIAL DOWNLOADED FROM SUCH SITE.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, EVERYTHING REGARDING THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY. CHECK LOCAL LAWS FOR ANY RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS REGARDING THESE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS.

10. DISPUTES. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States. By entering, Entrants agree that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, will be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, and any matters or proceedings shall take place in the State of Delaware.

BY ENTERING THE ACCESSLEX CALBAR SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANT AGREES THAT TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (1) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS, AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES, OR ANY CREDIT AWARDED, WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; (2) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS WILL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL THIRD-PARTY, OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED (IF ANY) NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY DOLLARS (U.S.$50.00), BUT IN NO EVENT WILL ATTORNEYS’ FEES BE AWARDED OR RECOVERABLE; (3) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND ENTRANT HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO SEEK PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, AND/OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN ACTUAL OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY DOLLARS (U.S.$50.00), AND/OR ANY RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED; AND (4) ENTRANTS’ REMEDIES ARE LIMITED TO A CLAIM FOR MONEY DAMAGES (IF ANY) AND ENTRANT IRREVOCABLY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR EQUITABLE RELIEF.

11. PRIVACY. Information collected from entrants is subject to the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at https://www.accesslex.org/privacy-policy.
