By providing financial assistance, mentorship and knowledge, the Legally BLK Fund seeks to redefine the future of the legal profession by reducing some of the barriers of entry for Black women. Our mission is to provide Black women with the tools, knowledge and confidence to achieve their legal aspirations. Legally BLK Fund’s vision is that Black women have the opportunity to succeed in the law school application process and beyond.

The purpose of this scholarship is to promote diversity in the profession. The contest is open to all Black, Hispanic, Native North American, and Pacific Islander students accepted to or enrolled in law school. 

The Diversity Scholarship seeks to support newly admitted law students from groups historically underrepresented in the legal profession who have committed to attend a California law school.

The aim of this scholarship award is to promote diversity within the legal profession.

The Albers-Alexander LGBTQ Law Scholarship Fund is to support LGBTQ persons who are pursuing a law school degree.

To support aspiring plaintiff’s attorneys from the LGBTQ community, the section raises funds from its membership to provide scholarships to help cover the tuition costs of a Themis bar review course to law school graduates and APR 6 law clerk graduates who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or otherwise self-identify as a part of the queer community.

The Jonathan Lax Scholarship Fund for Gay Men was established for the purpose of encouraging gay men to obtain additional education; to aspire to positions in which they contribute to society; to be out about their sexual orientation; and to act as role models for other gay men with similar potential.

This scholarship is to support any lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) students. Each scholar is paired with a mentor and participates in leadership development programs and events.

The Transgender First Scholarship is the first national scholarship exclusively dedicated to helping underserved Transgender students get affordable access to a college education.

This scholarship is for member of historically underrepresented groups in the legal profession, as well as people identifying as a person with disabilities, openly LGBTQ, or military veterans in order to foster the advancement of diversity in the legal profession.

A one-year fellowship provided to highly talented graduate students in New England and California whose studies and career goals are directed toward environmental improvement and who clearly demonstrate leadership in their field.

As part of Cooley’s ongoing commitment to diversity, this diversity fellowship is offered to outstanding first year law school students.

This scholarship will be awarded to an individual who shows leadership potential either within the LGBTQ+ community or within their field of study.

Vorys Diversity & Inclusion Committee has established scholarships for diverse law students whose spirit, drive and commitment leads them to pursue a career at Vorys while also demonstrating leadership and being “difference makers” in their communities and/or schools.

This scholarship recognizes those who are active in the APIQWTC community in pursuit of technical/professional training or higher education and encourages future leaders.

This scholarship was created in recognition of an active and beloved member of the Cincinnati Legal Community.

The Equity and Inclusion Scholarship funds tuition scholarships for law students who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latino/a, Asian American, Pacific Islander, or other person of color who demonstrates an interest in working in an area of natural resources and energy law. 

To promote African-American females in the field of law to help support outstanding law students and recognize extraordinary individuals and institutions.

The Black Women Lawyers’ Association Scholarship Fund (BWLA-SF) endeavors to encourage African-American women in the law through support in their legal education and to promote diversity in the legal profession.

A joint scholarship to recognize law students who have shown excellence and achievement in law school, who overcome personal hardships or challenges and have a demonstrated commitment to the Asian Pacific American and LGBTQIA communities.

Scholarships are awarded to applicants whose leadership potential is evident and will demonstrate their dedication to excellence in their lives through service, education, or employment, and for bringing broad positive impacts to society as an out and visible LGBTQ person becoming a positive role model for other LGBTQ people.

The Trans/Nonbinary Law Graduates of Color Grant Fund will award three unrestricted to help offset the costs associated with the period of time between graduation and taking the Bar Exam/employment. 

This scholarship is awarded to a deserving third-year law students of African/African-American descent and/or law students who possess a demonstrated commitment to improving the African-American community.

The scholarship will be awarded to one current second, third or fourth-year law student to defray the costs associated with law school, such as tuition, fees, books, and similar school-related expenses.

Scholarship awards will go to law student or recent graduates who have demonstrated commitment to improve the legal and social standing of the LGBTQ community, including LGBTQ individuals.

For African American/Black law students or other historically marginalized racial or ethnic groups such as, but not limited to, Native American/Indigenous, Hispanic/Latinx, Middle Eastern, Asian and Pacific Islander, who are long-time Virginia residents enrolled in a juris doctor program. Preference shall be given to first-year law students, students attending a law school in Virginia, and/or students from Hampton Roads.

The Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship was established to encourage and support lesbian women in their pursuit of higher education.
