Created to strengthen diversity and inclusion in the field of intellectual property law, this fellowship provides first- and second-year law students with the opportunity to participate in the firm’s summer associate program and receive a scholarship towards law school tuition or other school-related expenses.

A first-year law student who is a person of color or a member of an underrepresented group is eligible for this diversity fellowship, which includes a 10-week paid summer associate position and a grant.

This scholarship is open to all students attending a university in Washington State who demonstrate a commitment to advocating for mental health awareness, promoting volunteerism, and increasing diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

This award was designed to urge young lawyers to cultivate their cultural literacy and pay close attention to events unfolding on the world stage as well as promote diversity for first year law students.

This scholarship is intended to help law students become lawyers in the mold of Frank Rice, who was “among the finest…in the Bar. He was at the top of his class…and always applied the highest level of legal scholarship to any legal matter in which he was involved.”

Offered to an outstanding first year law student who is enrolled at an ABA-accredited law school and who participates in the firm’s summer associate program, to assist in offsetting his or her law school expenses. The scholarship is in addition to the salary paid to the student for his or her Summer Associate position.

This scholarship is offered to 2L or 3L law students who are committed to advancing the goals diversity, equity and inclusion within the legal profession. 

A 1L law student will be selected for an internship and must demonstrate an awareness of the importance of promoting diversity as a result of their life experiences, demonstrated interests, background, personal attributes or characteristics.

The Inclusion & Diversity Fellowship Program offers a pathway for law students who are interested in the practice of antitrust and unfair competition law. In addition to a monetary stipend, the Fellow receives a year-long mentorship from a practicing antitrust or UCL lawyer and a summer internship in a government agency working on antitrust and unfair competition law matters.
