The Will County Bar Association in collaboration with the Black Bar Association of Will County, Latino Bar Association of Will County, Will County Women’s Bar Association and Spesia & Taylor Attorneys at Law is pleased to announce applications are currently being accepted for the Will County Legal Opportunity Scholarship Program. The purpose of this Program is to encourage diversity within the Will County legal community by awarding a scholarship to an incoming first year Black or Latino Law Student.

Rising 2Ls with academic and leadership achievements seeking to practice law at Latham U.S. offices, who have demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity in the legal profession and have overcome adversity to advance their career objectives should explore this scholarship.

The Deborah J. Broyles Diverse Scholars Program provides an award and a summer associate position to two law students who have demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. The award is to be used to defray necessary expenditures related to the recipient’s legal education and will be paid in addition to the summer associate salary.

The Weil 2L Diversity Fellowship Program is designed to increase the number of diverse attorneys who want to pursue careers at Weil.

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans program honors the contributions of immigrants and children of immigrants to the U.S. Each year, we invest in the graduate education of 30 New Americans—immigrants and children of immigrants—who are poised to make significant contributions to U.S. society, culture or their academic field.

The 1L Diversity Fellowship Program includes a paid summer associate position, mentoring throughout the year by members of the firm, participation in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 1L Scholars Program, and a scholarship reward.

The Wyrick Robbins Diversity Scholarship demonstrates our commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within our firm and the legal profession by providing professional and financial support to law students at the outset of their legal careers.
