Applicant Referral and Reservation Process
For the 2025-26 admission cycle, deferred admission offers should provide a pathway to admission into the Fall 2027 entering class. The deadline for law schools to refer applicants to LexPostBacc using the LexPostBacc Applicant Referral Form is May 15, 2026.

Curricular Framework and Program Schedule
From July 2026 through May 2027, LexPostBacc Scholars will be exposed to a rigorous law school prep curriculum that will focus on building analytical and critical thinking skills as the foundations of competent legal analysis and writing. LexScholars Engagement Grant
Law schools can qualify for a LexScholars Engagement Grant and receive up to $15,000 to support efforts to engage and recruit prospective law students who could benefit from participating in a LexScholars program.
Grant A: Law schools can qualify for $15,000 for undertaking each of the following activities:
- Refer at least three applicants to LexPostBacc
- Applicants must also submit LexPostBacc Application after being referred.
- Place information and links to the LexScholars landing page on website
- Make at least one of the following forms of prospect outreach:
- Provide information about LexPreLaw and LexPostBacc Direct and the link to the LexScholars landing page in denial letters sent to applicants with LSAT scores no higher than 25th percentile
- Send at least one email to prospects (including denied applicants) with LSAT scores no higher than the 25th percentile, encouraging them to consider applying to LexPreLaw and LexPostBacc Direct and providing the link to the LexScholars landing page.
- Email must be sent between March 1 and April 1.
Grant B: Law schools can qualify for $3,000 for undertaking either or both of the following activities:
- Provide information about LexPreLaw and LexPostBacc Direct and the link to the LexScholars landing page in denial letters sent to applicants with LSAT scores no higher than 25th percentile
- Send at least one email to prospects (including denied applicants) with LSAT scores no higher than the 25th percentile, encouraging them to consider applying to LexPreLaw and LexPostBacc Direct and providing the link to the LexScholars landing page.
- Email must be sent between March 1 and April 1.
Law schools that receive the LexScholars Engagement Grant will also receive program performance data and contact information for LexPostBacc Direct Scholars and LexPreLaw participants who successfully complete their program cycles. Schools can use this information for recruitment follow-up and possible application consideration.
