2L students in good standing at an ABA accredited law school (candidates in four-year joint degree programs will be considered after their third year)

Contribute meaningfully to the diversity of the legal community

Demonstrated desire to work, live, and eventually practice law in Seattle or Portland

Academic achievements and record of leadership abilities, community service, and involvement in community issues will be taken into consideration

Must be a parent with children under the age of 18 (special consideration given to students with multiple children, children under the age of 6, and children with special needs)

In last year of law school

Intend to practice law in Oregon

Sitting for the February Bar Exam

Minimum 3.0 GPA

U.S. citizen

Must permanently reside in: Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, or Virginia

Enrolled or accepted to a U.S. college or university as a full-time student

Available for both the February and July bar exams each year

Must be pursuing post-secondary education (individuals planning to enroll in a program next year are eligible as are current high school seniors)

Northwest Residency: Applicants must be a resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington

Enrolled in an accredited community college, 4-year college or university, or an accredited graduate degree program

Applicant must be currently attending a high school in Oregon or Clark County, Washington or have attended a high school in Oregon OR Clark County, Washington and currently enrolled in an accredited college
