This national league scholarship is directed at league members entering the field of law. Applicants should be active within their communities and merit and financial need will be considered. Applicant must hold an individual or youth membership in the JACL.

Ms. Andow, a longtime member of the Cleveland Chapter, established this scholarship in her will. She was a wedding planner who later studied to become a legal secretary. She shared her enthusiasm and abilities with others, and volunteered almost all of her spare time with the JACL.

Founded to provide financial assistance to a student who otherwise would have to delay or terminate his/her education due to a lack of financing. Only applicants that exhibit severe financial need will be considered for this award.

Thomas Hayashi was a civil rights advocate and attorney in international law, whose philosophy was to encourage other Nikkei to enter the legal profession as a means of securing justice for the disadvantaged. This scholarship was established in his honor.

Established in memory of Sho Sato, a professor of law at the University of California at Berkeley, who was one of the nation’s most prominent scholars of local governmental law, this scholarship is for law students who are members of the Japanese American Citizens League.

This scholarship is awarded to a deserving third-year law students of African/African-American descent and/or law students who possess a demonstrated commitment to improving the African-American community.

Animal Legal Defense Fund Advancement's scholarships are available to law student members based upon demonstrated commitment to Animal Legal Defense Fund’s mission, “to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system."

This scholarship is offered in memory of the late Agnes Jones Jackson who was a long time NAACP member from the San Francisco branch.

Life Care Planning is a discipline that focuses on assessing a chronically or catastrophically injured person’s medical conditions and then formulating a plan of medically-related care to address those conditions throughout a person’s lifetime. This scholarship for those impacted by a Life-Altering Injury, highlights the struggles, successes, and strategies of people affected by catastrophic harm,

This scholarship encourages incoming and current college students to think critically about the dangers of drinking and driving.

An award will be given in the memory of Helen W. Nies, former Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Special considerations include encouraging the participation of women lawyers in the legal profession, recognizing the contributions of women lawyers to society in general, highlighting academic excellence, addressing need, and advancing the interest of women law students in intellectual property.

This county's bar association memorial scholarship was created with the goal of supporting future professionalism, integrity, and community involvement. Applicants need to have one letter of reference from an active HCBA member.

An award will be given in the memory of Giles S. Rich, Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and an author of the 1952 Patent Act. Ideal candidates will show financial need and reflect academic excellence. They also should consistently demonstrate a dedication to the law, the rule of law, and our court system.

The Gloria Barron Wilderness Society Scholarship seeks to encourage individuals who have the potential to make a significant positive difference in wilderness protection.

The Board Scholarship seeks to encourage law students showing financial need and demonstrating both academic excellence and outstanding leadership.

The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund is designed to encourage racial and ethnic minority students who are underrepresented in the legal profession to apply to law school and to provide financial assistance to ensure that these students have the opportunity to attend law school for three years.

Each year, LAAC offers the Dan Bradley Fellowship to fund law students who want to spend their summer working at a LAAC member legal aid organization. The Fellowship is awarded to outstanding students who want to pursue a career in public interest law and who want to spend their summer working in a rural area or on a rural issue.

In memory of William S. Bullinger, a respected practitioner who tirelessly advanced the Association’s encouragement of professionalism, civility in practice, and dialogue between the Bench and Bar. The award is based primarily on economic need, although other criteria including academic promise and an interest in the subject matter of the Federal Circuit’s legal community are considered.

This memorial scholarship award is geared toward students pursuing a J.D. with an interest in international law or federal law. In particular, a demonstrable interest in procedure, substance, or scope of the United States Four of Appeals for the Federal Circuit is ideal.

This $5,000 scholarship is available for law students who are the first in their families to pursue a legal career and who have demonstrated outstanding academic success in the face of challenging cultural, social, and economic circumstances. 

This Scholarship will benefit a law student who exhibits academic excellence, leadership, volunteerism, mentorship experience, and demonstrates an interest in AAPI civic issues. Special consideration will also be given to applicants who have been adversely affected by cancer (as a survivor, or family member of a victim or survivor).

The fellowship competition is open to first-year law students who intend to carry out significant activities during the summer in the areas of civil rights and/or civil liberties. Proposed activities may include a writing or research project, work with a public interest organization in the areas of civil rights or civil liberties, work on a civil rights or civil liberties law case under the supervision of a faculty member or lawyer, or any other work in the areas of civil rights or civil liberties.

Scholarship awards will go to law student or recent graduates who have demonstrated commitment to improve the legal and social standing of the LGBTQ community, including LGBTQ individuals.

The Trial LawHER Scholarship was created to help a rising 3L female law student achieve her goal of becoming a plaintiff trial lawyer. This scholarship intends to elevate a rising woman leader in the plaintiff trial lawyer space and educate future trial lawyers around the importance and impact of settlement planning.

The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Law Foundation has partnered with the Choi Family to create the Han C. Choi Scholarship, to honor a Trailblazer, mentor and leader, who embodies grit and courage in the face of great adversity. The Scholarship seeks to benefit a student who exhibits academic excellence, leadership, volunteerism, mentorship experience, and demonstrates an interest in AAPI civic issues.

Justice Vaino H. Spencer was a co-founder of Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, Inc. (BWL) and first African American woman judge in California. The BWL Foundation proudly sponsors the Justice Vaino Spencer Scholarship that is awarded to second- and third year law students who have demonstrated outstanding scholastic achievement, community service and financial need.

This law firm scholarship is geared toward students with financial need, especially those who are coping with the financial fallout from a serious accident. 

This scholarship is for descendants of the enslaved in Georgia who are attending or about to attend law school.

The scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit through an application process that is evaluated by a committee. These scholarships are for one year only, but recipients can reapply and receive the award up to four times.

The LMJ Scholarship is a diversity pipeline program that seeks to nurture the academic and professional careers of outstanding law students. The scholarship is open to women and diverse students who have: been accepted to an ABA-accredited law school on a full-time basis; an outstanding or promising academic record; an interest in corporate law; demonstrated community service and leadership qualities; a financial need; and a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity.

The leaders of tomorrow are working and often sacrificing to receive an education today. The purpose of the scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student to apply towards college or law school costs and help that student realize his or her potential.

The Earl Warren Scholarship is awarded annually to rising law students whose commitment to racial justice reveals outstanding potential for training as civil rights and public interest attorneys. Eligible law students include those entering their first or second year of full-time legal study at an accredited law school.

The MAX by AccessLex Hannah R. Arterian Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to one 1L MAX participant who completes the eight-part Financial Foundations course and attends at least two MAX events. Entry is automatic, and the winner will receive a $50,000 scholarship toward their remaining law school tuition.

Scholarships are awarded to graduate students of Armenian descent who clearly demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.
